Have you ever wanted to raise your own meat? In this one night class you will learn the basics of how to grow a few chickens for the freezer in your own urban backyard. We will be covering: chick rearing, feed recipes, pasture/day-ranging and butchering options including home processing.

About the event
Have you ever wanted to raise your own meat? In this one night class you will learn the basics of how to grow a few chickens for the freezer in your own urban backyard. We will be covering: chick rearing, feed recipes, pasture/day-ranging and butchering options including home processing.
Class will be held March 11th from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. Cost for the class is $25. Your registration is not complete and we cannot hold your place in the class without payment.
Denise Beno has kept chickens for over 20 years. She is former organic egg farmer and
has served as board member for the American Pastured Poultry Producers Association. Denise currently
works for Park Street Poultry and Game in the North Market, Columbus, Ohio.
