City Chicken Boot Camp is a 3-week, super intensive course on keeping chickens in the city. Homework will be issued in this course.

Week 1: Getting Started -- Urban Permitting, housing, chick rearing

Week 2: Raising a Flock -- Pullets, health, bio-security, chores

Week 3: The Laying Hen -- Laying, egg handling, maintenance

Classes will be held Feb 6th, Feb 13th, and Feb 20th from 6:30-9pm. Cost for the class is $89. The price includes all three sessions.

Denise Beno has kept chickens for over 20 years. She is former organic egg farmer and has served as board member for the American Pastured Poultry Producers Association. Denise currently works for Park Street Poultry and Game in the North Market, Columbus, Ohio.
