Chicken Boot Camp is a 3-week, super intensive course on keeping chickens in the city. If you are short on time but need to know how to raise happy, healthy chickens, this class is for you!
Week 1: Getting Started
Drills will cover: Urban Permitting, housing, chick rearing
Week 2: Raising a Flock
Drills will cover: Pullets, health, bio-security, chores
Week 3: The Laying Hen
Drills will cover: Laying, egg handling, maintenance
Some homework required.
Drill Instructor: Denise Beno has kept chickens for over 20 years. She is former organic egg farmer and has served as board member for the American Pastured Poultry Producers Association. She regularly presents poultry classes at City Folks Farm Shop in Columbus.
Cost: $45 for 3 week session (March 19, March 26, April 2)
